Move to France and earn a (French) crust

At number four in my list of ‘top ten why not’ reasons against the idea of a move  to France was the issue of earning a living. Move to France and being self-employed

I’m mostly self-employed now – and do things that are essentially location-free so I could do those things based anywhere in the world where I have half-decent internet access to communicate and exchange materials with my clients.
